Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close will have a limited release in the United States on December 25, 2011 with a wide release on January 20, 2012. The Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close story tells about a nine-year-old amateur inventor, Francophile, and pacifist searches New York City for the lock that matches a mysterious key left behind by his father, who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
